Our classes are designed to make learning salsa simple, enjoyable and social. We’ll take you through the basics step by step, so you can learn at your own pace, meet new people and start enjoying the music and dancing from your very first class.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
In your first few weeks, you’ll learn the foundations of salsa in a simple, relaxed way – building confidence as you go.
- The basic salsa step and timing
- How to move comfortably to the music
- Turns, changes of direction, and simple combinations.
- How to lead and follow with connection.
- How to dance with different people.
- How to start putting everything together on the social dance floor.
By the end of the course, you’ll have the foundations you need to keep learning, keep dancing and enjoy salsa socially.
WHAT HAPPENS IN CLASS
Each class is relaxed, friendly and practical. We start by going over what you’ve already learned, then introduce something new and give you plenty of time to practice it.
You don’t need to remember everything straight away. We’ll break things down step by step, practise together and gradually put the pieces together.
You’ll have plenty of chances to practise, change partners and dance because the quickest way to learn salsa is to actually dance it.

Come as you are, bring a comfortable pair of shoes, and we’ll take it from there.
BY THE END OF YOUR FIRST COURSE
You’ll have more than a collection of steps. You’ll have the foundations to actually dance salsa socially.
You’ll understand the basic timing, feel more comfortable moving to the music, know how to lead or follow simple patterns, and have started building the confidence to get onto a social dance floor.
Most importantly, you’ll be ready to dance, and have started your own salsa journey and discovered that salsa really can be easier than you thought.
